Maksim Kucher MD, PhD

Maksim Kucher had graduated from Pavlov First Saint-Petersburg State Medical University in 2005. Since then and for present time he works in Raisa Gorbacheva Memorial Research Institute for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantation as intensivist in pediatric/adult ICU.


In 2011 Dr.Kucher had received PhD – “Role of enteral and parenteral nutrition in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation”


In 2018 Dr.Kucher had received doctoral thesis – “Impact and optimization of transfusion

medicine issues in allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation”


Since 2016 to present time he is Head of clinical nutrition department in Raisa Gorbacheva

Memorial Research Institute for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Transplantation; Pavlov First Saint-Petersburg State Medical University.


Interests:


  • Low bacterial diet, enteral and parenteral nutrition in HSCT patients
  • Anorexia overcoming in HSCT patients
  • Fecal microbiota transplantation as a method to overcome panresistant infections in HSCT
  • ABO-incompatibility
  • Hematopoietic stem cell mobilization in “poor mobilizers”
